I recently travelled to Singapore for a short vacation, and I was amazed with the experience in their Airport. Almost everything is done without human interaction. But while browsing on Youtube, surprised to me that the same idea is already done with a hotel.
Overview of the Innovations:
- Book the rooms via app – 360 room tour
- Self Checkin/out via Kiosk
- Interactive GYM
- Face Recognition

What I think about the keyless/cashless hotel
- Despite the robots serving your room, one of the key experiences in a hospitality business is the human interaction.
- What is key here is the “frictionless” experience with the customer, no need to bring card keys. Basically just bring your phone and you can do everything with the app
- It will be uneasy at first (same experience with Singapore’s Changi Airport) but eventually once you get used to it, it will be easier and faster
