YouTube Originals, comprised of series, movies, and live events, are currently exclusive to paying Premium members. However, come September, these contents will now be available for free. Non-paying members will have to wait for each episode to be released, while Premium members will get immediate access to every episode in a series. Premium members will also get exclusive content such as Director’s cuts and bonus footage. Additionally, non-paying members will get ads in between their streaming, while Premium users are ad-free.
YouTube Originals will be free to non-paying members beginning September 24.
YouTube Originals are original series, movies, and events from YouTube. You can check out the released series and movies on the YouTube Originals channel.
Beginning on September 24th, 2019, your YouTube Originals viewing experience will differ based on whether or not you have a YouTube Premium membership.
As part of their membership, YouTube Premium members get:
- Ad-free viewing of YouTube Originals
- Access to all the available episodes in a series right when they premiere
- The ability to download YouTube Originals for offline viewing
- Exclusive access to bonus content such as director’s cuts and extra scenes of YouTube Originals when available.
YouTube Originals available with YouTube Premium can be identified by the YouTube Premium badge 
Some YouTube Original series, movies, and live events are available for viewing without a YouTube Premium subscription. However, you will see ads during this viewing experience and only select episodes may be available for streaming at any time.
