It’s a new year and that means a new iPhone. Of course, with most highly anticipated releases, leaks and rumors have started pouring in.
Although, this leak might not be the best we have seen of an iPhone.
The render comes from reputable leakers OnLeaks and Digit.in, but they cautioned that the 2019 iPhones are still in engineering and validation testing. So the specs and design might change.
While there is no confirmation that the new iPhone will come with a triple-lens setup, there are reports that Apple is developing a Time of Flight (TOF) system.
The system will allow the phone to record down depth maps which can enhance the phone’s augmented reality features as well as make autofocus faster and more precise.
However, in the renders, we can see the triple-camera setup and the huge god-awful camera bump.
It also looks like they took a hint from the Huawei P20 Pro’s camera setup. At least, Huawei implemented it better.
The Twitterverse shared their distaste for the design as well:
The technology is definitely beneficial, but we really hope that this is not how Apple plans to implement it.
