Two of the most anticipated smartphones this year is here and will be soon available to the public. The Google Pixel 2 is the successor to the company’s Pixel smartphone. It has a Snapdragon 835 chipset equipped with an Adreno 540 GPU, an IP67 dust and water resistance rating, active edge sides, and Android 8.1 Oreo. Its bigger brother, the Pixel 2 XL has almost the same specs except that it has a 6-inch screen with a 2880 x 1440 screen resolution.
During the presentation, a Google executive showed how she could, in real time, add digital characters from the Netflix show Stranger Things to the scene she was standing in. It’s unclear how many of these ARCore-powered stickers will be available at launch, but it’s safe to say Google will be aggressively rolling more out.
