Finally after months of waiting we’ve finally seen iPhone6….. and iPhone6+ !

First you’ll see that almost all the leaked photos of iPhone 6 were accurate even the fact that 2 models will be released. I am not sure what happened when Tim Cook announced before that they will double their “secrecy” it seems everything is out in the open.

iPhone seems to have a faster cycle on changing the size of their phone. Probably due to the demand one size doesn’t fit all anymore. First generation iPhone took a while before the increased the screen size during the last iPhone 5. Now we wonder how “phablets” size will change the way we design mobile apps.

I am a bit of disappointed that they didn’t increased the camera resolution, it’s still 8mp. Compared to Samsung Galaxy S5 with 16mp. But Apple is betting that their new quick focus camera will do the trick for the customers. What they always commit is a better camera, we don’t know how it is better but it is always a better camera. Most people would attest that iPhone camera is one of the better phone cameras available.

It’s no surprise anymore that iPhone will have a faster and more efficient processor, it’s been the same script for several launches. Though a big bump includes the M8 motion chip, which is specifically designed for the sports health/fitness apps. The new processor can also accurately measure distance traveled and elevation by using its built in barometer.

Now equipped with NFC, we are now able to see how mobile will benefit NFC. It actually took a while before iPhone adopted this technology, when as early as iPhone4s there were already rumors of NFC inclusion. NFC technology was focused on mobile payments, but I’m sure developers will find a more creative way of using the NFC technology.

Upto 150mbps LTE sounds really exciting but how about the battery life? although they stated that the A8 chip will give more efficient battery life, can it sustain faster LTE?

Of course despite it all, Apple fans are all happy with the announcement, it makes the new iPhone a must buy with the new size and new features. It’s a big jump from iPhone 5 series, but still playing catch up with the Android smartphones in some areas. You see iPhone was never about the specs of the hardware, it has always been how your phone works. It’s all about timing, despite NFC being an “old” technology, iPhone still adopted this and found the significance of including this. It took a while for Apple to decide on the phablet size, but when they saw the rise of demands for phablets compared to tablets it’s when they strike.

Is Apple playing catch up? yes they maybe playing catch up in some way, but they always deliver the right gadgets at the right time.

Oh and have you seen the double tap feature for shortcuts? how about the wifi call? 🙂
