Flappy Bird, one of the most addictive (and hardest) games we’ve seen for the iPhone, was pulled from the App Store, but clones of the game have never stopped coming.
The latest imitation, called Flappy48, combines the mechanic of the original game, in which you need to jump over a series of obstacles, with 2048, a puzzle game in which you slide tiles on a board in order to create the number 2048.
The result is an amazingly hard, yet (once again) addictive game that has already caught the attention — and generated some rage — of the Reddit community.
The game is from Dan Moran, a computer science major at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Moran claims he made the game in less than a day.
