Two weeks after its announcement, Nokia Philippines officially launched the Nokia X. Part of the first batch of Android powered smartphones from Nokia, including Nokia X+ and Nokia XL, the Nokia X features Nokia’s signature form factor in bold and bright colors. It also carries the same tile-based user interface as its Lumia cousins and ‘Fastlane’ originally seen from the Nokia Asha smartphones.

Running on a Nokia X Platform 1.0 which is a derivative of Android 4.1.2, the Nokia X supports around 75% of all Android apps available in Google Play Store (although the handset runs on its own Nokia App Store).

BTW, the Nokia X is also a Dual SIM smartphone. ‘Guess that makes the Nokia X a new competitor to our local Android smartphones. The Nokia X has a suggested retail price of Php5,990.
