As we end the year, let’s take time to review things that happened in the digital world.

So Apple once again made it to the headlines this year, with the success of iPads and iPhones it surely will be an Apple Christmas for everyone.

Instagram finally added direct message, sending photo/videos directly.

Samsung also made a buzz this year with the Samsung S4, Note 3 and the smart watch. The merging of fashion, wardrobe and computing is likely to accelerate in 2014, with devices promising to help people stay fit, informed, comfortable, and more.

It’s been a busy year “digitally” for ABS-CBN.  With their new line of business, entering the telco, partnering with Yahoo for ANC news and releasing “Pasahero” app made by their Digital Media Division.

What about Google? What is happening inside Google? Chromecast is one hardware ventures they have entered, giving the audience the option to easily switch with the multi-scren devices. Android OS made it’s first branded OS through KitKat(11 secret features of KitKat).

Yahoo! specifically Marissa Mayer, has been pushing the right buttons since seated as CEO. One of the biggest partnership under her leadership is the Yahoo-Tumblr deal. Also with the new logo, a campaign that was lasted 1 month releasing different logos until deciding the latest logo.

Microsoft has been struggling for the past several years. Other companies overtaking Microsoft, while they are busy trying to win their customers back. This year, Steve Ballmer officially announced his retirement as CEO. Their mission to look for the next CEO is still on going, no final list of candidates yet.

It’s been quite a while since Sony released it’s last Playstation. People waited and waited until this year they released Playstation 4. It broke new sales records of and also beating Xbox one.

The GTA adventure continues with GTA 5! In its first month, GTA 5 sold almost 29 million units, helping Take-Two generate $1.27 billion in revenue for the fiscal quarter.

Has anyone noticed? the new buttons from Facebook! And how about Facebook home? It’s like having a native OS inside your Android device!
