Google Play Books is now available in nine new Asia-Pacific markets: Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and New Zealand.
The service offers e-books, millions of titles from new releases to classics, which can be purchased and read online, or on any smartphone and tablet.
Besides international content, somes markets–New Zealand, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong–will also have localized content made available. For example in Singapore, there will be local titles such as Riot Green from Candid Creation and Conversations with Lee Kuan Yew from Marshall Cavendish. International titles currently available include Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games trilogy and Stieg Larsson’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
