Facebook is beefing up their mobile strategy. With the recent acquisition of Instagram, they now have just acquired Tagtile, a mobile loyalty based platform.
At the same time, Facebook just recently launched their “Facebook Offer Beta”. Facebook Offer is still limited to some countries.
This will surely compete with Foursquare. For a while Facebook started the checkin feature without the reward system. Now Facebook is ready to compete head to head with Foursquare as they launched a beta version of their “offers”. With millions of Facebook users, a loyalty platform would surely be an interesting thing for Facebook to do.
