Apple has just announced its upcoming event slated for May 7, titled “Let Loose.” Following the trend set during the pandemic, this presentation will likely be held entirely online. While Apple has gradually reintroduced in-person events, such as WWDC starting on June 10 in Cupertino, this one seems to stick to the virtual format.
Given its online nature, the event may focus on a select few products rather than being a large-scale affair. It’s probable that Apple is reserving some major announcements for its upcoming developer conference, scheduled just about a month later.
The event’s promotional artwork prominently features an image of a hand holding an Apple Pencil, accompanied by the handwritten tagline, “Let Loose.” Fans have been eagerly awaiting updates to the iPad lineup, especially considering the last refresh was back in 2022. Speculations abound regarding the introduction of the M2 and M3 chips, expected to power the iPad Pro and iPad Air models, respectively.

Rumors also suggest enhancements to the Apple Pencil, with references found in the early iOS 17.5 beta pointing to a potential “squeeze” feature for the upcoming fourth-generation version. Additionally, an updated version of the Pro’s Magic Keyboard case could be on the horizon.
